The objective is to replace the use of cannabis for narcotic purposes with others of a therapeutic and medicinal nature in the processing of dermatological and neurological sickness.
¿What does have the CBD?
The CBD obtained from hemp (mostly at industrial level), is not psychoactive and has a large number of therapeutic and preventive components. There are studies that demonstrate the ability of CBD to reduce the progression of Alzheimer’s, even to prevent this terrible sickness. Although CBD is not a miracle medicine, it is very effective in stabilizing the different body systems of a human being, like the endocannabinoid system, responsible for the neuronal and hormonal balance and immune system.
¿What is the THC?
Tetrahydrocannabinol or Δ9-THC is found in all the chemical components of cannabis, and in particular among cannabinoids, it’s the best studied and is responsible for many of the physical and psychoactive effects of cannabis. It is the prime cannabinoid involved in producing the “high”. It is also the most abundant in most varieties of marijuana that are on the market, but has multiple proven medicinal effects too.
Very good for stimulating appetite and reducing sickness and vomit; therefore, its very useful in cancer patients and any process involving chemotherapy. It also has analgesic properties that in synergy with the CBD maximizes its effect to counter the pain, it is anti-inflammatory too. Other effects include, alteration of the visual, auditory, and olfactory senses. THC, like other cannabinoids, has an antioxidant activity sufficient to protect neurons and oxidative stress, both neuroprotective and neurogenesis, that is, the creation of new neurons. Tests have also proven useful in alleviating spasms and trembling. It is also proven that it has a strong bronchodilator effect.
THC is an activator of CB1 cannabinoid receptors, mainly present in the brain, so its major effects are on the functions that maintain this organ. The effect is markedly cerebral / mental sensory functions such as vision, hearing, sensitivity to colors, also increases the sexual arousal of men and women, modifies the perception of space / time, produces a feeling of powerful euphoria, a mental well-being and a mind that favors curiosity and creativity.
¿How is the CBD produced?
The prime objective when using CBD is to eliminate all types of non-active component of the plant, the best way to produce CBD is to use plant material high in CBD as raw material.
Once the ideal variety has been selected, the manufacturing method should be chosen. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Supercritical extraction CO2
It is considered the safest method of extraction, in addition to the cleaner one. Supercritical extraction employs extremely high or low temperatures to generate a protection environment in each one of the cannabinoids where they are preserved and isolated. Due to the great control exercised over all aspects of this process, the integrity of the cannabinoids (and, of course, the clean of the cannabis derivatives) is preserved. In addition, chlorophyll is eliminated from the final product, which generates a product with a very clean taste. Although the quality produced is potentially the best, this system requires a large financial investment and a long process of experimentation by trial and error, until an improved process is achieved.
